Destroyers Handle Greens, Grab 5-3 Win
|
San Diego Destroyers starter Keaton Bozek found his groove in his team's 5-3 win over the Boston Greens. The last-place Destroyers are 52-66.
Rusney Bravo had a big 2-run triple for the Destroyers in the bottom of the second inning. With San Diego leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Javy Alejo, who is tied for 5th in the EC in wins with 10, and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 4th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Destroyers ahead, 4-0.
"Keaton pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said San Diego manager Steve Alstadt.
