Phantoms Beat Browns, 5-2

The Chicago Phantoms licked the Brooklyn Browns, 5-2. Tae-kyun Choi deserved a big chunk of the credit. The catcher was 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Phantoms. Lan-fang Lai picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 7-4. John Colon got the save, the 5th for him this season.
Chicago took a 5-2 lead on Choi's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Baden Tamblyn in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Chicago to the win.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Choi said in reaction to the win.
The first-place Phantoms are now 71-47, the Browns 63-54.
