Dragons Cancel Avispas, 4-2
Portland pitcher Yahya Kanoro did his part in helping his team beat the Santiago Avispas, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Earning his 7th save of the year was Danny Monroy. The win makes Portland 63-55.

There was more than one reason the Dragons beat the Avispas, but Kanoro's big at-bat in the bottom of the fourth was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-1 lead when he hit a solo home run.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Portland manager Greg Carpenter.
