Vikings Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
Minneapolis Grounds was rocking after an exciting Vikings win.

The Minneapolis Vikings used a stellar performance from pitcher Jarrod Beckman to throttle the Montreal offense en route to an extra-inning, 3-2 win at Minneapolis Grounds. Minneapolis reliever Zee-loo Kim picked up the win, raising his record to 7-3. Tetsukazu Kaneda was tagged with the loss.

The decisive blow was delivered by Gentaro Arakawa in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a run-scoring double off two-time All-Star Tetsukazu Kaneda to win the game for Minneapolis. The home crowd went nuts.

"It was a test of wills," said Ace Cooan, the Minneapolis skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."

The Vikings have now reeled off 6 straight wins.
