Browns Claim Late Win
|
The Brooklyn Browns took Vancouver pitcher Li-hong Ho's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Fox-Chong Park. The final score had Brooklyn getting past the Wolves, 5-1. Ho went 8.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 8. The third-place Browns now have a record of 63-53.
Brooklyn used a timely hit from Raymilson Bayam to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Browns ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.
Bayam called the win "what playing unselfish baseball looks like."
