Senators 4-3 Victors Over Metropolitanos
Washington registered a win at The ESPN Zone by beating the Havana Metropolitanos, 4-3. Pitcher Rajam Masrani was one reason why the Senators triumphed. Masrani, the winner, moves to 10-7. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks. Ocean Mendoza picked up the save, his 13th.

The Senators got a big at-bat from shortstop Derek Jefferson. For the game, Jefferson was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 20th home run of the season gave Washington a 4-1 lead.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Masrani.

The Senators improved their record to 53-64 by beating Havana.
