Cyclones 3-1 Losers to Chicago
|
The Chicago Phantoms used a great performance from 24-year old left-handed pitcher Trevor Laverick to beat the Miami Cyclones, 3-1, at Foster Field. Simone Banatoni got the save, the 7th for him this season. The Phantoms go to 70-47, putting them first in the Western Conference Michael Fridy Division.
The Phantoms got a big at-bat from third baseman Donner Munro. For the game, Munro was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Chicago a 1-0 lead.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Laverick. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
