Rangers Score 4-2 Win Over Cincinnati
|
Jose Uresti pitched well, but his team, the Cincinnati Twins, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Buffalo Rangers at Cincinnati Grounds. Jose Nereida earned the win to go to 8-5. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. Nees van Santen picked up the save, his 3rd.
Ricky Rangel, who finished 5th in the EC in extra base hits with 75 in 2081, had a direct impact on the outcome. Rangel contributed a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth inning to put Buffalo up, 3-2.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Rangel told the Buffalo Herald. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
At 62-54, Buffalo is in third place in the Eastern Conference Jossue Lopez Division.
