The Las Vegas Aces could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Joshua Eyres into a win. Instead, the San Diego Destroyers prevailed, 5-4. Eyres threw 5.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The defeat makes Las Vegas 66-49.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jason Gonzalez in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off former first round draft pick Jimmy Hsia to win the game for San Diego. The home crowd went nuts.

"The house was rockin'," said Gonzalez.
