Juggernauts Turn Back Kings, 4-2
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Chad Schoepp, the Toronto Juggernauts defeated the Baltimore Kings, 4-2. C.J. Neal came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. Earning his 8th save of the year was Ignacio Noriega.
With Toronto trailing 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Schoepp hit a fastball from Victor Balaguer for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Juggernauts ahead, 4-2.
"I put some good swings on the ball," said Schoepp.
Toronto is now 15-21.
