Athletics Suffer 6-4 Home Loss
|
The Montreal Harfangs picked up a win at Ballpark of Missouri, dropping the Kansas City Athletics, 6-4. Mike Merdinger, who is tied for 7th in the EC in innings pitched with 150.1, was the difference-maker. The first-place Harfangs are 65-50.
Montreal took a 6-4 lead on Ginjiro Muranaka's 7th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Muranaka hit in the top of the ninth, left Kansas City pitcher Mark Curry visibly frustrated.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Muranaka.
