Destroyers Drop Browns, 3-2

Seaward Stadium played host to some dramatic action.
The San Diego Destroyers did just enough to secure a victory over the Brooklyn Browns, 3-2, in 10 innings at Seaward Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Trevor Laverick. San Diego reliever Ringo Pineiro picked up the win. Angelo Somoza took the loss for Brooklyn.
The Destroyers got a clutch hit from second baseman Axel Castiglione. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Destroyers.
"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Laverick told the San Diego News.
The Destroyers now have a record of 52-64.
