Taisei Yamamoto pitched a gem to lead Chicago to victory over the Miami Cyclones, 4-1. Yamamoto picked up the win for Chicago, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3. Picking up his 1st save was two-time All-Star Johnny Wickwire.
In the top of the ninth, Todd Kozuch stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Cyclones were trailing 4-1, but had the bases loaded. That's when Johnny Wickwire made a terrific pitch and Kozuch grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Miami comeback.
Chicago is in first place in the Western Conference Michael Fridy Division with a record of 68-47.
