Kodiaks Lose Contest, 5-1

The Boston Greens licked the Alaska Kodiaks, 5-1. Nelson Garcia deserved a big chunk of the credit. The left fielder went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs for the Greens. Boston, at 61-52, holds down 4th place in the Eastern Conference Paul Pagac Division.
There was more than one reason the Greens beat the Kodiaks, but Garcia's big at-bat in the top of the third was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-1 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
Garcia called the win "a team effort."
