Kodiaks Net 5-3 Win Over Vikings
|
Alaska starter Mike Blain pitched well against the Minneapolis Vikings at Minneapolis Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Eddie Izurieta finished the game for Alaska and earned his 2nd save. With the win, the Kodiaks hiked their record to 64-49.
Enriquillo Zelaya dealt the Vikings a blow in the top of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and Alaska leading 3-2, Zelaya hit a 1-2 fastball for a 2-run single.
"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Blain.
