Destroyers Lasso 8-4 Victory
|
The San Diego Destroyers powered past the Santiago Avispas, 8-4, at Seaward Stadium. Jesus Castillo was 1 for 2 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, to lead the charge. Brent Lannin, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. The San Diego win streak is now 3 games.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Castillo hit a 2-run double off Beau Eschmann. It propelled the Destroyers into the lead, 2-0.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Castillo told the San Diego Herald.
