Big Day for Peng in 7-6 Kings Win
|
Da-xia Peng powered the Baltimore Kings to a win over the Buffalo Rangers. The final score was 7-6. The Baltimore third baseman, who is tied for 6th in the EC in home runs with 22, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 3 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 1 double. Baltimore has won 5 straight, while Buffalo has lost 3 in a row.
Peng had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-2 cutter from Nees van Santen, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Kings a 7-6 lead. It was the 22nd home run of the year for Peng.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Baltimore manager Brad Carpenter.
