Estadio Latinoamericano was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Cincinnati Twins and Havana Metropolitanos.
Cincinnati Twins right-hander Bryan Szabo pitched a good game against the Havana Metropolitanos at Estadio Latinoamericano, leading his team to victory, 3-2. Avery Slade picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Yue-jiu Pai suffered the loss. Macario Mendoza, credited with the save, is now 9 for 12 in save opportunities.
Cincinnati needed the clutch hitting of Alex Sierra to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Twins on top, 3-1. For the game, Sierra had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
After the game, Cincinnati manager Ryan Stoops applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
Cincinnati occupies third place in the Eastern Conference Muldoom O'Mulmohery Division at 54-58.
