The Boston Greens had to overcome a fine effort from Chicago pitcher Trevor Laverick to win, 5-3, in 10 innings at Arrington Park. Laverick went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. The Greens improved their record to 60-51 by beating Chicago.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ruben Vega in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 31-year old right-handed pitcher Andy Miao to win the game for Boston. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said Vega.
