The Phoenix Thunderbirds beat the Seattle Arrows, 9-4, at Power Ballpark. Phoenix left fielder Billy Morf had the hot bat. He was 2-3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times. The loss makes Seattle 52-60.

Phoenix used the timely hitting of Cody McLaughlin to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Thunderbirds ahead, 7-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said McLaughlin.
