In a low-scoring game between Minneapolis and San Francisco, pitcher Josh Hawes was excellent. The Minneapolis right-hander helped his team knock off the Friars, 3-0. The 'W' lifts Minneapolis's record to 69-43.

The Vikings got a big at-bat from shortstop Omar Ozoa. For the game, Ozoa went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 16th home run of the season gave Minneapolis a 2-0 lead.

"Josh was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Minneapolis manager Ace Cooan.
