Metropolitanos Get Extra-Inning, 5-4 Win
|
Behind the hitting of Homer Hanes, the Havana Metropolitanos defeated the Washington Senators, 5-4. Hanes was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Metropolitanos. Alan Hand, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 0.1 innings. The first-place Metropolitanos improved to 67-45.
