Catcher Hunter Begley made an impact for St. Louis, when he swatted a 2-run double off Jim Lawrence in the top of the third. For the contest, Begley went 1-5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"I still think this team can play even better," Begley told the St. Louis Chronicle.
