Las Vegas Stymied by Los Angeles, 2-1
In a tightly-contested game between the Los Angeles Stars and the Las Vegas Aces, pitcher Miguel Tejeda was outstanding. The Los Angeles right-hander propelled his team's 2-1 win. Los Angeles's record now stands at 59-51, placing them first in the Western Conference Najera Division.

Had Al Anzaldua not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Anzaldua hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Stars.

"Runs were at a premium," said Los Angeles manager Pat Kaers.
