Seattle Tumbles Again, Falls, 5-1, to Las Vegas
|
The Las Vegas Aces picked up a win at Western Coliseum, knocking off the Seattle Arrows, 5-1. Starting pitcher Joshua Eyres played a key role in the triumph. Seattle's current losing streak is now 6 games.
Chris Horn had a big 3-run home run for the Aces in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Las Vegas leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Victor Marquez and punished it. The result was his 15th home run of the season, which put the Aces on top, 4-0.
"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Horn said in postgame remarks.
