Thunderbirds Pick Up 2-1 Win Over Seattle
|
Starting Pitcher Carlos Torres was lights out, as the Phoenix Thunderbirds beat the Seattle Arrows, 2-1. Abdi Bitok recorded the save for Phoenix, his 1st of the season. The Thunderbirds, at 40-72, sit in last place in the Western Conference Duviel Zaldivar Division.
Cody McLaughlin had a direct impact on the outcome. McLaughlin contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Phoenix up, 2-1.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said McLaughlin.
