Vikings Fall, 6-4, to Plascencia, Aquas
|
Ruben Plascencia powered the Houston Aquas to a win over the Minneapolis Vikings. The final score was 6-4. The Houston left fielder was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Victor Romero, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 12th save. The Aquas sport a record of 36-74.
Plascencia had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Benjamin Jones, he banged a grand slam home run to left-center, giving the Aquas a 6-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Plascencia.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Plascencia said in reaction to the win.
