Cobo Shines in 13-6 Tucson Win
Benefiting from Zahi Cobo's productive game, the Tucson Toros downed the San Diego Destroyers, 13-6. Cobo was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Toros. Kevin Newton earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-2. Today's win puts Tucson at 57-53, while San Diego falls to 42-68.

Jake Doctor had a big 2-run home run for the Toros in the top of the second inning. With Tucson leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a circle change from Keaton Bozek, who finished 3rd in the WC in strikeouts with 192 in 2082, and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Toros on top, 3-0.
