Twins Rack Up 5-2 Win Versus Havana
|
Cincinnati pitcher Ryan Surette had a large part in his team subduing the Havana Metropolitanos, 5-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Cincinnati is third in the Eastern Conference Zounes Kamuzu Division with a record of 18-19.
Wei-kang See-to had a big run-scoring double for the Twins in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Cincinnati leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a cutter from Benito Cossutta, who finished 5th in the EC in ERA with 2.82 last year, and swatted a double to left. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Twins ahead, 3-1.
See-to expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
