Stars Get One-Run Win at Miami
The Los Angeles Stars did just enough to sneak past the Miami Cyclones, 5-4, at Kroger Stadium. Los Angeles catcher Danny Serrano, in particular, had a standout performance. Raiko Leon got the save, the 21st for him this season. With the win, Los Angeles goes to 59-52, while the Cyclones fall to 43-66.

With Los Angeles leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Serrano hit a slider from Jeremy Fitch for a grand slam home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Stars ahead, 5-0.

"Danny was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Los Angeles manager Pat Kaers.
