The Los Angeles Stars grabbed a win, 8-2, over the Vancouver Wolves at Stars Ballpark. Los Angeles left fielder Heyg Schmidt went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times. The loss makes Vancouver 44-65.

Fernando Valiente had a big 2-run double for the Stars in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Los Angeles trailing 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from Victor Franco, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2080 draft, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stars ahead, 3-2.

"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Vancouver skipper Zach Meinen said.
