The Portland Dragons had to overcome a big game from Kansas City second baseman Eddie Simon to leave Portland Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-5. Simon went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Portland win streak is now 3 games.

Matt Craddock had a big 2-run home run for the Dragons in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Portland leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a curveball from Gerald Tanton, who is tied for 5th in the WC in complete games with 1, and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Dragons on top, 4-1.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Craddock said after the game.
