Toros Need Extra Frames to Get Past Aquas
The Tucson Toros topped the Houston Aquas by a score of 7-5 in 11 innings. Leading the way was left fielder Chris Brankin. Brankin went 2-6 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Toros. Cody Sosnowski earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 2-0. Tucson, at 15-21, holds down 4th place in the Western Conference Mike Stump Division.

Brankin broke a deadlock in the top of the 11th inning, when he hit a 2-run single, putting Tucson up, 7-5.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Brankin told the Tucson Times.
