10-3 Loss to Kings Extends Havana Losing Streak
Vance Kitchen powered the Baltimore Kings to a win over the Havana Metropolitanos. The final score was 10-3. The Baltimore shortstop, who finished 5th in the WC in doubles with 47 in 2080, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Heater Watkins had a big 2-run home run for the Kings in the top of the sixth inning. With Baltimore leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 29-year old left-handed pitcher Antonio Ramires and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Kings on top, 5-2.

Baltimore manager Brad Carpenter was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
