Starting pitcher Chris Maxwell pitched well enough to help the Maine Lobster beat the St. Louis Gaedels, 5-4. Pat Cochran closed the game out for Maine, earning his 1st save.

The Lobster got a big at-bat from catcher Tan Ou-yang. For the game, Ou-yang went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Maine a 2-1 lead.

"I'm happy we won," said Maxwell. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
