With Late Score, Senators Beat Juggernauts
|
The Washington Senators had to overcome a good performance from Toronto pitcher Edwin Bonomi to claim a 3-2 win at Molson Park. Bonomi went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs. Washington reliever Dominic Hogg picked up the win, while Jesus Carbajal took the loss for Toronto. The 4th-place Senators now sit at 16-20.
Washington won the game in part because of Sung-hyo Kym. The first baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Senators ahead, 3-2. For the game, Kym had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Kym said.
