Late Offense Lifts Philadelphia to 6-4 Victory
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Philadelphia Spectres and Cincinnati Twins.
Lucas Houghton had a 4-RBI game, during Philadelphia's 6-4 triumph over the Cincinnati Twins. Houghton contributed 1 single and 1 home run to the cause. Rafael Salabarria claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 1-0.
Houghton had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 slider from Phil Cromsie, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Spectres a 6-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Houghton.
"It feels good to get this one," Houghton told the Philadelphia Bulletin.
The victory gives the Spectres a record of 18-16.
