Senators Beaten By Spectres, 6-1
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Philadelphia Spectres topped the Washington Senators, 6-1, in Eastern Conference action at Sony Field at Philadelphia. The game was highlighted by the performance of Philadelphia pitcher Chae-pong Kim. Kim picked up the win for Philadelphia, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 5-1.
Jeff O'Donnell had a big 3-run home run for the Spectres in the bottom of the third inning. With Philadelphia leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Pablo Alvarez, who finished 3rd in the WC in wins with 16 in 2082, and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Spectres on top, 5-1.
O'Donnell said his team "played with a purpose."
The triumph puts Philadelphia at 19-14 for the season.
