The Greens grabbed a win, 7-3, at Arrington Park, overcoming a fine effort from Houston pitcher Ricky Zika. Zika went 7.1 innings and allowed 6 runs. The win gives Boston a season record of 19-15.
The Greens got a big at-bat from second baseman Jake Herman. For the game, Herman went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Boston a 3-1 lead.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Herman.
