Rangers Topple Gaedels, 9-7, as Garbie Shines
Merlin Garbie helped his team muscle past the St. Louis Gaedels, 9-7. In the game, the Buffalo catcher slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Picking up the save was former first round draft pick Lupe Sandoval. Buffalo has run its win streak to 5 straight.

With Buffalo leading 3-1 in the bottom of the third, Garbie hit a sinker from Grant Latour for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 6-1.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Garbie. "I just want to win ballgames."
