Montreal Makes Vancouver 5-4 Losers
|
The Montreal Harfangs scored a tight, 5-4 win versus the Vancouver Wolves at Mount Royal Park. Montreal pitcher Dan Tweedy held his own in the contest. Tweedy, the winner, moves to 2-3. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up no walks. The Harfangs now have a record of 10-25.
Montreal catcher Nick Borcherding contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 21st hit of the season and put the Harfangs ahead, 5-1.
"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Tweedy.
