Vancouver starter Hyun-koo Ka kept the Montreal offense from doing much damage. The right-hander leaned on his splitter in leading the Wolves to a 5-1 win. The win for the Wolves lifted their record to 17-17.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Matt Szymanski? The Vancouver second baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wolves on top, 3-0. For the game, Szymanski had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
