Boston Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Houston got a terrific performance from pitcher Yasuhiro Katayama, but it wasn't enough to beat the Boston Greens. Boston won the Arrington Park contest, 5-3. Katayama threw 7.2 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Boston now has a record of 18-15 with the win.
Boston got a clutch hit from Ruben Vega. The left fielder launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
After the game, Boston manager Matt Glazer applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
