Estadio Guillermón Moncada was the site of a true pitchers' duel.

In a low-scoring tilt between the Santiago Avispas and the Denver Glaciers, 23-year old right-handed pitcher Susumu Shibuya was the difference-maker. The Santiago right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. Earning his 1st save of the year was Chris Knarr.

The Avispas got a big at-bat from second baseman Jonathan Villegas. For the game, Villegas went 1 for 2 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 7th double of the season gave Santiago a 1-0 lead.

"Runs were at a premium," said Santiago manager Jacob Pauly.

The victory gives Santiago a record of 20-13.
