Philadelphia starter Gary Banks put a stranglehold on the St. Louis offense. The right-hander had complete command of his sinker in leading the Spectres to a 7-1 win. Philadelphia is now 16-15.

The Spectres got a big at-bat from second baseman Eddie Kelly. For the game, Kelly was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 11th double of the season gave Philadelphia a 3-0 lead.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Philadelphia manager Ryan Huff.
