Avellaneda in Cruise Control in 8-1 Win
The Montreal Harfangs downed the Portland Dragons, 8-1, at Mount Royal Park. Stellar pitching by Antonio Avellaneda had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the EC in wins with 4, handcuffed his opponent all game. Portland falls to 15-17.

Avellaneda, who won the Pitcher of the Year Award in 2072, pitched a complete game for Montreal. Avellaneda surrendered 5 hits over 9 innings and struck out 5. With the win, he moves to 4-3 on the season.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Avellaneda.
