Greens Sneak By Aces, 2-1
|
The Boston Greens earned a close win over the Las Vegas Aces, thanks in part to Shaun Chugh. The Boston left-hander, who led the WC in ERA with 2.76 in 2076, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. Boston pitcher Al Nieves earned the win, hiking his record to 1-1. J.P. McNealy suffered the loss. With the win, Boston goes to 17-14.
Danny Sifontes was the walk-off hero for Boston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Greens third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Sifontes said.
