Alaska Loss Spoils Terrific Game by Velado
|
Boston played host to Alaska at Arrington Park.
Alaska got a terrific game from right fielder Tillmam Velado. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Boston, 7-4. Velado hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Boston reliever Jim Lawrence was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Jeff Amendola took the loss.
Danny Sifontes had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Greens. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Boston trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single.
"It's still just a game," said Sifontes, "whether you win or lose."
The Kodiaks fall to 13-20 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2083 season.
