Yadisniel Saez, who is tied for 4th in the WC in strikeouts with 44, never let the Harfangs get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Aquas to a win, 4-1. The winning pitcher was Saez, now 6-1. He tossed 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. Danny Mathews, who finished 5th in the WC in wins with 15 in 2078, nailed down the save.

Alan Manthei had a direct impact on the outcome. Manthei contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Houston up, 3-0.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Houston manager Brandon Coroian. "That's what Yadisniel is right now."

With the win, Houston pushed its record to 18-15.
