Spectres Rebuff Kings, 3-2
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Philadelphia Spectres and Baltimore Kings.
The Philadelphia Spectres topped the Baltimore Kings, 3-2, in Eastern Conference action at Sony Field at Philadelphia. The standout performance belonged to Philadelphia pitcher and Aibonito, Puerto Rico, native Alex Laso. The win went to John Frye in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Kyohei Nishimoto took the loss. Picking up the save was 25-year old left-handed pitcher Steve Jennifer.
Philadelphia took a 2-1 lead on Alrigo Dini's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Dini hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Baltimore pitcher Danny Segura visibly frustrated.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Baltimore manager Andrew Schweizer, "let me know."
Philadelphia is now 17-13.
