The Buffalo Rangers went home winners at Bison Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Pablo Alvarez. Alvarez stifled the Cincinnati Twins, enabling Buffalo to grab the 3-1 win. Buffalo reliever Ricardo Alas picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Ryan Surette absorbed the loss. Cincinnati is 16-14 after the loss.

Bobby Verkaik came through for Buffalo with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth. The shortstop went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 2 RBI.

Verkaik said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
