Friars Collect 9-3 Win Versus Santiago
The San Francisco Friars pinned a convincing loss on the Santiago Avispas, 9-3, at Estadio Guillermón Moncada. Rod Inzunza was a main factor in the win. He went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for San Francisco. San Francisco reliever Kiyohiro Kaneshiro picked up the win to move to 2-0. Beau Eschmann suffered the loss. The loss puts Santiago at 22-8.

Inzunza got the Friars off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single.

"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said San Francisco skipper Erich Weatherholt.
