Big Game from Fondin Not Enough, Lobster Lose
The Baltimore Kings weathered a fine game by Maine catcher Roberto Fondin to upend the Lobster, 7-6, at Ballpark of Portland. Fondin hit 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Baltimore reliever Marc Diamond picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Masato Nishihara took the loss. The win gives Baltimore a record of 19-12.

Baltimore took the lead, 7-3, on Danny Rubio's 4th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Maine pitcher Masato Nishihara in the top of the ninth.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Rubio, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
