Thunderbirds Suffer 6-5 Loss to San Diego
The 6-5 San Diego win over Phoenix was due largely to Heyg Schmidt. The Destroyers right fielder was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The defeat makes the Thunderbirds 10-22.

Carmine Citti helped out the San Diego cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 4.

"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Citti. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
