Badeaux Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
In a career performance, Washington Senators designated hitter Bobby Badeaux sparkled with the bat at Estadio Latinoamericano.

Powering his way to a 5-for-5 day at the plate, Badeaux led the Senators to a nice 14-9 win over the Havana Metropolitanos. Badeaux was in high spirits in the clubhouse after the game, joking with reporters that the big game had left him "winded."

"Oh sure, 5 hits sounds great but think about how much more baserunning you have to do," he said with a smile. "Next time, I'm just going to take 5 walks."

Bobby Badeaux singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

This season, Badeaux has hit at a .350 clip and produced 27 runs batted in, 6 home runs and 32 runs.
