In a low-scoring contest between the Los Angeles Stars and the Las Vegas Aces, Victor Marquez was the X factor. The Los Angeles right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The win belonged to Teh-huai Yap in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Ricardo Riveron took the loss for Las Vegas. With the loss, Las Vegas falls to 15-17.

The decisive blow was delivered by Robersy Larosa in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 27-year old left-handed pitcher Ricardo Riveron to win the game for Los Angeles. The home crowd went nuts.

"This place was jumping at the end," Marquez said.
